Recent photos

We haven't posted in awhile because we've been so busy this summer. But, here are some farm pictures, including: "goat-scapes", "shanti washing eggs", and "Alex" (who is now an intern on a farm in Brazil).

I just purchased my first chicken from your stand at the Hollywood Market. Wow- call me impressed!

I wish I remember what variety it was (you said it would have more of a dark meat character to it- that these were active chickens).

It turned out to be the perfect chicken for a simple poached meal. Here's a picture of it cooling in the sunset.

cheers

We recently did a batch of red broilers and black broilers so your chicken was one of those. These are heritage breeds that take a while to grow -- almost twice as long to reach finish weight as the cornish X. While slower growing, the red broilers and black broilers are a pleasure to grow since they look and act like real chickens. Glad you enjoyed it!
